Jay Briscoe died at the age of 38 due to a car accident in Delaware on late Tuesday.

Jay Briscoe was an American professional wrestler, best known for his work in Ring of Honor (ROH). He was a two-time ROH World Champion and a member of the Briscoe Brothers, a tag team he formed with his brother Mark.

Jay Briscoe began his wrestling career in 2000, training under his father and uncle, both of whom were professional wrestlers. He made his in-ring debut in 2000, at the age of 18, alongside his brother Mark as the Briscoe Brothers. The brothers quickly established themselves as one of the top tag teams in the independent wrestling scene, winning multiple championships in various promotions.

In 2002, the Briscoe Brothers joined ROH and quickly established themselves as one of the top teams in the promotion. They won the ROH Tag Team Championship on multiple occasions and were known for their hard-hitting and high-flying style.

In addition to his success as a tag team wrestler, Jay also had success as a singles competitor. In 2011, he won the ROH World Championship, becoming the second-ever two-time ROH World Champion in history. He held the title for over six months, successfully defending it against a number of top challengers.

Jay Briscoe was known for his dedication to the sport of professional wrestling and his willingness to put his body on the line in the ring. He had suffered multiple injuries throughout his career, but has always returned to the ring stronger than ever. He continued to be a top competitor in ROH and will be remembered as one of the best wrestlers in the world.
