The Man behind the moonwalk married for the fourth time in his life with longtime love Dr. Anca V Faur in a small ceremony in Los Angeles. Buzz Aldrin has had a tumultuous personal life. He was married three times and has three children. His first marriage was to Joan Archer, whom he married in 1954 and divorced in 1974. He then married Lois Driggs Cannon in 1975 and divorced in 1978. He was married to his third wife, Lois Aldrin (formerly Lois Driggs Cannon) from 1988 to 2012.

Aldrin has struggled with alcoholism and depression in the past, and has been open about his experiences with these issues. He has also had a few incidents related to his mental health. He was hospitalized in 2016 for depression, and in 2018 he was involved in an altercation at a bar in Beverly Hills, California. The incident was reportedly related to his struggle with alcoholism.

Buzz Aldrin, whose full name is Edwin Eugene Aldrin Jr., was born on January 20, 1930, in Montclair, New Jersey. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1951 and later earned a doctorate in astronautics from MIT. After serving as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force, he was selected as an astronaut by NASA in 1963 as part of the third group of astronauts.

In 1969, Aldrin and Neil Armstrong made history as the first two humans to set foot on the Moon. They landed on the lunar surface on July 20, 1969, and spent 21 hours on the surface. Aldrin is also known for performing the first ever spacewalk on the lunar surface. After the mission, Aldrin returned to NASA and served as backup command module pilot for the Apollo 14 mission.

In 1971, Aldrin retired from NASA and the Air Force. He then served as a professor at the United States Air Force Academy and has written several books about his experiences, including "Return to Earth" and "Men from Earth". He also founded Starcraft Boosters, Inc., a space-related company. In 2011, he was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama.

Throughout his career, Aldrin has been honored with numerous awards and accolades, including the Congressional Space Medal of Honor, the Robert Goddard Memorial Trophy, and the NASA Distinguished Service Medal. He is also a member of the National Aviation Hall of Fame, the Astronaut Hall of Fame, and the International Air & Space Hall of Fame.

Aldrin has also been an advocate for space exploration and has continued to be a public figure in the years following his historic mission to the Moon. He has been a vocal advocate for returning to the Moon and for establishing a permanent human presence on Mars.
